On Thursday, 21st August 2025, Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation extended compassionate medical assistance to Mr. Ani Chinonso Kingsley from Akpakwume/Nze in Udi Local Government Area, to enable the release of his young daughter who was hospitalized due to Pneumonia at Tender Hospital, Abakpa Nike, Enugu
The child, who was admitted and treated at the facility, had accumulated hospital bills totaling ₦270,000. Despite his best efforts, Mr. Ani was only able to raise ₦100,000, leaving an outstanding balance that stood in the way of his daughter’s discharge.
Faced with this challenge, he approached Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation on 19th August 2025 for support. After careful review and consideration of his case, the Foundation approved the sum of ₦150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand naira) to settle the remaining balance.
Today, the Foundation formally presented a cheque for the approved amount to Mr. Ani, bringing immense relief to him and his family.
Speaking at the brief handover, Hon. Mrs. Uche Eze, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, noted that the Foundation is always ready to stand with families facing urgent medical and financial challenges.
“This intervention is more than financial aid, it is about giving a child the chance to return home healthy and giving parents hope when all seemed lost. We are happy to stand with the Ani family at this critical moment,” she remarked.
Overcome with gratitude, Mr. Ani expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Foundation. “I didn’t know where help would come from. Today, my daughter can go home, and my family is at peace again. May God bless this Foundation for coming to our rescue,” he said.

Through this support, Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation once again shows its mission of lifting the most vulnerable, ensuring that health and dignity are not denied to families due to financial constraints.
