On Thursday, 21st August 2025, Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation extended vital entrepreneurial support to Miss Chioma Eunice Obiugo, a young woman from Iwollo in Ezeagu Local Government Area, by providing financial assistance to revive her dream of owning a patent medicine store.
Miss Obiugo, who had earlier lost her job unjustly, refused to give in to despair. Determined to rebuild her life, she began efforts to establish her own small business. Unfortunately, her initial resources were quickly exhausted, leaving her unable to fully set up and stock the store.
In search of help, she approached Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation. After careful review of her request and recognizing her resilience and determination, the Foundation approved the sum of ₦250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand naira) as support under its SME Grant programme.
Today, the Foundation has formally presented a cheque for the approved amount to Miss Obiugo, giving her the boost she needs to properly stock her shop and commence operations.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Mrs. Uche Eze, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, praised Chioma’s courage and tenacity.

With visible joy and gratitude, Miss Obiugo expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Foundation. “When I lost my job, I thought everything was over. But today, I have hope again. This support will change my life, and I sincerely thank the Foundation for believing in me,” she said.
