The Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation brought joy to 100 indigent widows and physically challenged individuals in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State this festive season by distributing bags of rice and cash gifts.
On December 16th and 17th, 2024, Rt. Hon. Dr. FSA Uzor, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, directed a team of Trustees to carry out this generous initiative. Led by Engr. Kene Eze, Hon. Mrs. Uche Eze, and Hon. Jideofor Chijioke, the team ensured that each of the 100 beneficiaries—five from each of the 20 wards—received a bag of rice and a cash gift of N10,000. This distribution was conducted in collaboration with Ward and Community leaders, ensuring a fair and non-partisan approach.
The beneficiaries were visibly moved by this act of kindness, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation and offering prayers for blessings upon its supporters.
In an interview, Rt. Hon. Dr. FSA Uzor highlighted the significance of extending love and support to those in need, particularly amid the country’s current economic challenges. “As we celebrate the Yuletide season, it is crucial to remember those who are less fortunate,” he remarked.
“We hope our small gesture brings joy and relief to these remarkable yet needy individuals.”
