In a heartwarming demonstration of compassion, the Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation reached out to Mrs. Ezinne Okafor, a widow from Umudim, Eziowa Aguobu-Owa, who recently welcomed triplets into her family. The visit took place on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Led by Mr. Peter Aniagboso, the foundation’s delegation expressed deep concern for Mrs. Okafor and the challenges she faces as a new mother of three.

During their visit, the foundation provided a donation of N200,000 to support Mrs. Okafor and pledged to help establish a sustainable business for her, paving the way toward financial independence and stability.

Aniagboso highlighted the foundation’s mission, saying, “Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation is dedicated to supporting underserved members of our community, and that’s precisely why we’re here today.”

He continued, “To align with our mission, we will ensure you have a sustainable means to care for these bundles of joy from God. We encourage you to create a business proposal once you’ve completed your postnatal care.”

The gathering was honored by the presence of HRH Igwe Francis O. Okafor, the Ezi 1 of Eziowa Aguobu-Owa, who offered prayers for the foundation’s ongoing success.

Hon. Chief Victor O. Okafor, President General of the Eziowa Aguobu-Owa town union, praised the foundation for being the first of its kind in Ezeagu and commended its unwavering commitment to community welfare.

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, Mrs. Okafor recounted her poignant story, revealing that she lost her husband just two months before the arrival of her triplets.

“I lost my husband just before I gave birth to my triplets. This support has brought back life and hope to me,” she shared.

Accompanying the delegation were Hon. Mrs. Uche M. Eze, Secretary of the Trustees, and Mr. Jideofor Chijioke, Trustee Member.
