In furtherance of her commitment to lifting the needy, Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation presented a cheque of ₦100,000 to Miss Somtochukwu Okechukwu Angel, a final-year student of Genetics and Biotechnology at the University of Calabar, from Owellemba Village in Umana Ndiagu, Ezeagu Local Government Area on 27th March 2025.
The cheque presentation, which took place at the Foundation’s secretariat, was in response to Miss Somtochukwu’s passionate appeal for financial support for her final-year school project.
The appeal, which was made on a WhatsApp group platform, *”Nkali Umu Agbaja,”* highlighted her struggles to complete her final year project due to financial constraints.
In a remarkable swift response, the Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation sprang into action, providing the much-needed financial assistance to enable Miss Somtochukwu complete her project and graduate with her mates.
Mr. Jideofor Chijioke, a Board member of the Foundation, presented the cheque to Mrs. Chinaza Obiugo, who represented the beneficiary. In his remarks, Mr. Jideofor Chijioke emphasised the Foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and families. Mrs. Chinaza, who represented Miss Somtochukwu, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation, praying for God’s blessings and divine provision.
Miss Somtochukwu had earlier taken to social media to publicly thank the Foundation, the Foundation’s Trustees Chairman, Rt. Hon. Dr. Festus Uzor, and other Trustees for their kindness and support. Her heartfelt appreciation highlights the Foundation’s positive impact in the lives of numerous people.
The Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation’s commitment to lifting the needy has brought hope and relief to numerous otherwise despondent individuals and families. As the Foundation continues to expand its compassionate interventions, it is clear that their selfless acts of kindness will inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
